Sunset in Black Valley
|
![]() |
The late 1850s seem, to the people of Bedford County, Pennsylvania, a quiet time. The Revolutionary War vestige at Fort Bedford is now in disrepair. The militia is a joke. The residents live in the naive belief that life will remain unchanged. During this quiet time, one man fathers two children at the same time with different women, another seeks to help escaped slaves fleeing through their valley. Near this convergence of North and South on the Mason-Dixon Line, war will come and everyone is must choose a side. Neighbors will confront each other with words and weapons. Nobody will win.
