An Indian story of Bedford County. Eve Earnest and several of her children were captured by Indians in 1777 and taken to Detroit. Nine years later they found their way back to their home near Fort Bedford. This is her story and also a genealogy of her descendants in Bedford County. Because of her time spent with the Indians, she was always known as Indian Eve even though she was not an Indian by birth.
