American Patriot: Peter Mock, Sr. by William Roy Mock

William Roy Mock is a fourth great-grandson descendant; being representative of the seventh generation with direct genetic lineage to the Revolutionary War Patriot. Mock is a retired high school teacher and accomplished county historian.

Peter Mock emigrated with family members from Germany circa 1758. He was born in 1742 and resided in Maryland; later migrating to and settling in Saint Clair Township, Bedford County, Pennsylvania. His wife, Elizabeth died in 1813, and Peter died in 1817. Both were buried in the Peter Mock graveyard on their farm in St. Clair Twp., Bedford County, PA. The family site of interment was reportedly to have been destroyed in 1980`s.

In July of 2018, Bill`s application with supportive documentation was authenticated and approved by the Register General, for membership in the National Society of the Sons of the American Revolution, as well as, the Pennsylvania Society in the "Frontier Patriots" Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution (SAR).

This gratifying accomplishment now "opens the door" for other descendants of Peter Mock, Sr. of Bedford County to pursue membership.
